• Reunion of the week-long blog crew—now friends—gathered to “bring it full circle” and re-invite Pastor Will, the first voice who encouraged their quest.
• Tone: grateful, a little nervous, hope-filled. “Glad you’re here … it’s been so much fun. Let’s go.”
• Curveball in his story: “I definitely never wanted to be a pastor, but I love what I do.”
• Guiding principle: Romans 12:2—“be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
• Scripture light for next steps: Psalm 119:105—“His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.”
• Discernment: move forward if the step “is not contradicting God and His Word.”
• Freedom from paralysis: “If you’ve got peace about both options, then choose—and He will be with you along the path.”
• Honest admission: “There are many days I don’t know what I’m doing.” That very uncertainty keeps him leaning on Jesus.
• Adulting myth-buster: even at 37 he feels “I thought I’d be so much further along.” Friends in their 40s say the same.
• Practical steps for 20-somethings:
• Wrestling with two states, two jobs. During the Texas interview she sensed God say, “I can’t give you something until you’re letting go of this,” confirmed when the interviewer repeated the exact resignation dilemma back to her.
• Hears God most clearly while singing: “Here I’m singing Your praises but I don’t feel this way … and I feel Him say, ‘You do get it, so now I’m speaking to you.’”
• Believes doubt itself can pull you closer: “I’ve heard God the most when I was doubting.”
• God’s voice often arrives as “a certain peace and confidence” in community moments.
• Adulting discovery: maybe “you never actually feel like an adult,” and that’s okay.
• God guides one step at a time; His Word lights “this step … and the next.”
• Peace is a compass—if both paths align with Scripture, choose and trust Him.
• Letting go is required before receiving the new.
• Worship and even doubt can become meeting places with God.
• No age bracket owns the feeling of “arrived”; growth is lifelong.
• Friends who push you toward Jesus are around you—you must risk the invite.
• Daily stay in Scripture; let it renew the mind.
• Pray for courage to release what God is asking us to lay down.
• Seek and build Christ-centered friendships—start the conversation, join a Life Group, step out of comfort zones.
• Keep doing “the right next thing,” trusting God to fill in the bigger map.
“Whoever finds God finds life, and we’re a collective of young adults finding life together.”
